Russell Group Universities

What is the Russell Group?

The Russell Group is a collective of 24 research-intensive UK universities who have a shared commitment and focus to research and outstanding teaching and learning experiences. The Russell Group was originally founded in 1994 and four of the top ten universities in the world - OxfordCambridgeImperial and UCL - are Russell Group members.

What is the purpose of the Russell Group?

Between them, Russell Group universities receive two-thirds of all research grants, allowing them to make a huge contribution to intellectual, cultural and economic factors in the UK. As a result of this, the very best students and academics are attracted to study at Russell Group institutions. By producing world-leading research across a range of topics and disciplines, Russell Group universities play a major role in the UK and the health of its economy.

From a students perspective, there are better employability and student satisfaction rates, as well there being a higher staff to student ratio.

Studying in the UK

Breckett Front  I believe my success is due to the great support provided by SI-UK. I was advised the right IELTS courses to attend and they also helped with my visa application. I really want to share with you my positive experience and I would definitely recommend SI-UK to my friends.  Breckett Back
